Lindy Loyet

Lindy Loyet is the Chief Financial Officer at Elevate and serves as a member of the executive team. In her role, Lindy oversees accounting, finance, treasury, audit, and funding compliance. She partners across the organization on strategic planning, culture, systems, and all things Elevate. Over her decade at Elevate, Lindy has provided financial leadership to support the organization’s rapid growth from $6 million to $50 million.

Lindy believes in Elevate’s critical vision that everyone deserves access to clean and affordable heat, power, and water. Elevate’s work is more urgent than ever as the organization works to address climate change and income insecurity. The finance team’s stewardship provides the stability needed to partner with and support other organizations, driving further impact. Lindy and her team emphasize scaling to support the growth trajectory, measuring what matters, and fostering financial literacy across the organization – core focus areas that help Elevate maximize mission impact and facilitate collaboration.

Before joining Elevate, Lindy worked in nonprofit finance and operations with Arts Alliance Illinois and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She holds an M.S. in Accounting from DePaul University, an M.A. in Nonprofit Management from Columbia College, and a bachelor’s degree in the Fine Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Lindy is a member of Chicago’s CFO Roundtable, a group of 100+ CFOs in the nonprofit sector.
