Ashley Polino

Ashley Polino grew up in the construction industry, surrounded by a family of union pipefitters. She never thought to pursue a career in construction, a male-dominated industry with few opportunities for women. The first door opened with an office manager role for a small fire protection company.

Reed Construction recruited Ashley as an Accounting Assistant in February of 2011, where she quickly took on additional responsibilities: processing waivers, all AP duties, processing subcontracts/change orders, collecting and reviewing all certificates of insurance. Always willing to help, she stepped in as a Field Coordinator for a year, backed up reception for over 3 years, learned how to process union payroll, report monthly union dues, and create bid books. Being pulled in so many different directions helped her understand the importance of each role within the organization.

Ashley was promoted to Project Accountant in 2013, Project Accounting Manager HCGU in 2015, Controller in 2017 and CFO in 2020. Understanding the importance of providing opportunities to women, her entire team is composed of women.

She has been able to combine her remarkable career with being a mom, just had her second child 5/23/2022, and giving back to the community as an officer of the Reed Construction Foundation. To date, the Foundation has donated over $1.4M to the local community, volunteered 1000 hours, sponsored 200 charitable events and donated over 50,000 books to Bernie’s Book Bank, just one of many charitable partners. Ashley has also been an active member of CFMA including their Peer Group & Chicago Chapter since 2018.
