Lawrence Casas
LaSalle Staffing
Lawrence Casas is a Certified Public Accountant, with over 20 years of experience. Prior to joining LaSalle Network, Lawrence owned a practice specializing in part-time controller/CFO services, as well as providing accounting and tax services. Previously, Lawrence was a Chief Financial Officer of a technology services firm in the Chicagoland area. Prior to that, Lawrence spent over six years as a Controller in the staffing industry.
As the Chief Financial Officer of LaSalle Network, Lawrence oversees all aspects of internal accounting and is responsible for financial management and reporting, process and procedures and financial and business analysis. Since joining LaSalle in November 2007, Lawrence has implemented effective weekly and monthly financial systems, which have streamlined the company’s process of viewing and analyzing its metrics. The weekly management report is the vital heartbeat of the company’s income and revenue and presents data from each of LaSalle’s six business units to properly track the organization’s billing, gross profit, etc. This system helps the company better manage and analyze the performance in every area of the business.
Not only has Lawrence contributed vastly to the development of the company, but also to year-over-year growth in revenue. Lawrence has helped to advance the company from $16.5 million when he started, to $100 million currently. Lawrence’s work as CFO has helped LaSalle Network be recognized as a 12-time honoree on the Inc. 5000 list, which honors the fastest growing privately held companies in America.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Lawrence and his team helped move 250 internal employees and 1000+ field employees from completely in-office work to a new remote model, nearly overnight. Moving a workforce to a remote model posed challenges for the information technology team (which Lawrence oversees) and legal challenges that Lawrence navigated with precision.
Lawrence also helped LaSalle retain 100% of its staff during the pandemic. While many other companies were laying off their employees, LaSalle chose to keep its staff. Lawrence navigated new models to figure out how LaSalle could keep its staff and continue operations, along with navigating Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans and other expenses. Because LaSalle retained its entire staff, the firm was able to close more business and bounced back in 2021, reaching new revenue milestones and having 47% year over year growth.
After helping LaSalle achieve its highest year in revenue ever, Lawrence facilitated the partial sale of LaSalle to a private equity firm. A long-time goal of the staffing and recruiting firm was to find a partner that could help LaSalle grow to be a much larger and even more successful company. Lawrence, in addition to his other responsibilities as CFO, gathered all the materials for the sale, met different investment candidates, and helped select LaSalle’s private equity partner.
Along with his work as CFO, Lawrence is also a dedicated husband and father. Lawrence has three children, and spent much of his time during their formative years coaching sports teams and attending dance competitions.
Lawrence graduated with a BS in Accountancy from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
