Natalie A. Brown

Natalie Brown serves as Mesirow Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer. As Chief Financial Officer, she leads Mesirow accounting operations, business accounting, audit and tax, and financial planning and analysis. In her role as Chief Administrative Officer, Natalie oversees Mesirow Corporate Services and serves as a business partner and advisor to the Chairman, CEO and the Mesirow Board of Directors on a broad range of financial, operational and organizational issues. Natalie acts as liaison between Mesirow business leaders and Corporate Services leaders in the development of strategic goals that align with key firm initiatives. She is a member of the Mesirow Board of Directors.

Natalie joined Mesirow in 2018, after spending nearly two decades with Nuveen, most recently as Managing Director, Head of Nuveen Advisory Services Finance. During her time at Nuveen, she was instrumental in several financial and accounting capacities, including Head of Financial Planning, Head of Investor Relations and Managing Director, Accounting and Tax. In these roles, she consistently led strategic teams, promoted talent and developed innovative solutions that generated savings and increased product offerings. Prior to Nuveen, she worked at Kraft Foods and KPMG in various accounting and finance roles.

Natalie earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and a Master of Business Administration from University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
