Nickole Lynch

iBuilders Corporation

Nickole Lynch is the Chief Financial Officer of iBuilders Corporation, where she leads the company’s financial strategy, operational scalability, banking relationships, and long-term sustainability initiatives. Since joining iBuilders in September 2023, Nickole has played a critical role in strengthening the company’s financial infrastructure while helping position the organization for strategic growth and expanded market capabilities.

Nickole began her career in construction accounting in 2006 as an Accounts Payable Manager quickly growing to a Financial Controller during one of the strongest economic periods in the Chicago construction market. Entering the industry during what many referred to as the “good days,” she witnessed firsthand a time when profits were strong, lending was abundant, and growth appeared limitless. However, the economic collapse that followed in 2008 dramatically reshaped the industry and ultimately became one of the defining experiences of her professional career.

Early in her career, Nickole experienced the impact of the recession when one of her company’s largest clients unexpectedly filed bankruptcy — news she learned from the morning newspaper. What began as employment within a company of more than 500 employees quickly shifted into survival mode as the organization eventually downsized to only two remaining employees, with Nickole serving as Employee #1 until 2011 when the company closed. Rather than allowing adversity to define her future, she used the experience as an opportunity to strengthen her expertise, returning to school to formalize the knowledge she had built through hands-on industry experience.

Transitioning into the commercial construction sector, Nickole quickly recognized that the economic downturn had deeply affected every corner of the industry. In a pivotal role early in her commercial career, she faced another critical challenge in 2013 when her employer’s bank moved to cancel the company’s line of credit, placing the future of the business at risk. Determined not to watch another company fail, she immersed herself in restructuring strategies, banking negotiations, and forbearance agreements. Through proactive leadership, financial transparency, and strategic planning, she helped secure a restructuring agreement with the bank that stabilized the business and positioned it for recovery. More than 13 years later, the company remains successfully in operation.

Those experiences shaped Nickole’s leadership philosophy and continue to guide her approach today. She is deeply committed to building financially resilient organizations that prioritize sustainability, transparency, disciplined growth, and strong partnerships with banking and bonding institutions. Her focus centers on aligning all financial stakeholders in support of long-term growth while maintaining disciplined cash management and lean operational structures that protect liquidity and profitability.

At iBuilders, Nickole’s role extends far beyond traditional accounting and financial reporting. She works closely with operations and support teams to ensure the company delivers exceptional value to clients while maintaining healthy margins and operational discipline. When she joined the company, iBuilders was experiencing the challenges common to rapidly growing organizations — strong field performance and client satisfaction paired with the growing pains of scaling capital, staff, systems, and infrastructure at the same pace as demand.

Since coming onboard, Nickole has helped strengthen the company’s internal structure, expand operational capabilities, improve financial visibility, and increase repeat business relationships — all without relying on aggressive discounting to secure work. Her leadership has helped reinforce iBuilders’ position as a trusted, scalable, and financially disciplined contractor capable of sustainable growth in competitive markets.

Her long-term vision is to continue building wealth management and financial strategies that protect the company against future economic shifts while helping iBuilders continue a trendsetting opportunity within the construction industry through innovation, operational excellence, and disciplined growth.

Outside of her professional career, Nickole values family above all else. She and her husband have been together for 18 years and married for nearly 11. Much of their free time is spent supporting their ten nieces and nephews in sports and activities. Baseball plays a major role in their lives and provides an important balance to the fast-paced demands of the construction industry.
