Rena Solano
Lincoln Park Zoo
Rena Solano joined the zoo in November 2016 as comptroller, and in October 2017, took the helm of the Finance Department as the Chief Financial Officer of The Lincoln Park Zoological Society. In this role, Rena is responsible for managing all financial affairs, information technology and risk for the zoo as well as serving as the primary liaison to the zoo’s Finance Committee.
Prior to joining the zoo, Rena served as senior audit manager at Plante Moran in the firm’s not-for-profit practice. She has 20 years of experience serving a diverse range of clients in the not-for-profit sector, including arts and cultural, social service agencies with real estate properties, private schools, trade and professional associations and foundations.
Rena holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a member of the AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society.
