Ryan Robinson

Ryan joined UL in May 2017 as senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). He oversees corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, tax, and business support functions at UL, including sourcing, real estate, shared serves, and facilities.

Before joining UL, Ryan served as chief administrative officer and CFO for Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc., a publicly-traded spin-off from Sears Holdings. During his tenure, Ryan led the corporate, financial, and IT separation from the company’s former parent and developed teams, infrastructure, systems, processes, and partnerships to support the company’s strategy.  Ryan also spent ten years with Best Buy Co., Inc., including as CFO of the US business, treasurer, and head of corporate development.

Ryan is passionate about helping the teams he is part of to achieve outstanding results.

He received his Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and his master’s degree from Northwestern University. Ryan previously served as a member of the executive committee and chairman of the Finance Committee for Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota and has served on the board of several private companies.
