Zach Jones
West Monroe
Whether he’s educating our people on what it means to “think like an owner” or supporting our office leaders across the firm to grow their markets, Zach relentlessly focuses on creating tangible value for both the firm and our clients—and telling the story of how it’s done.
As chief financial officer, Zach oversees all aspects of the firm’s financial operations. He is responsible for supporting the company’s offices across the United States and assisting office leaders in driving growth. Zach is passionate about building financial acumen within our people—not only so they understand how the firm operates, but so they are equipped to articulate the financial value their consulting work has delivered.
During his tenure with West Monroe, Zach has been involved in virtually every major business initiative, including the firm’s conversion to an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), and several major acquisitions.
Zach joined West Monroe in 2011 from KPMG, where he worked in their Transaction Services practice and gained a keen understanding of the consulting business. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
What Makes Zach Different – Zach is respected as a brilliant analytical, critical, and strategic thinker. He is a strong believer in leading by example and is known as an outstanding mentor who has elevated the operations of the finance team. In his free time, Zach enjoys international travel and all water activities, especially scuba diving and sailing. He started working at the age of 14 and has held at least 15 (very) different jobs in his life. However, this one is his favorite!
Where Zach Makes an Impact – Zach has volunteered at Ronald McDonald House Charities and Big Shoulders Fund, helping Chicago’s children in need. He has also shepherded West Monroe through an incredible expansion period. Since joining in 2011, he’s helped grow the firm’s revenue and EBITDA at a compound annual growth of 25% and 38%, respectively.
