Harry Zhu
Alliant Credit Union
Harry Zhu is the CFO at Alliant Credit Union, the 8th largest credit union in the US and the largest credit union in Illinois, with $14 billion in assets and 700 employees. Alliant provides banking solutions to its members and offers a variety of deposit and loan products. Harry’s current responsibility includes accounting, financial planning and analysis, asset/liability management, treasury operations, and procurement.
Harry has over 25 years of business and management experience, spanning multiple industries, e.g., manufacturing, management consulting, retail, logistics, and financial services. Before joining Alliant, he was a Finance Manager and a six-sigma black belt at Grainger, the largest distributor of building supplies in the United States and Canada. Before Grainger, he was a Finance Manager at Sears and led the finance function for the Great Indoors division, a retail business with $600MM in annual sales, 21 stores, and 3000+ employees. Before Sears, Harry was a management consultant at Deloitte Consulting, specializing in Strategy and Operations in the Chicago office. Harry started his career as an electrical engineer at Ford Motor company.
Harry holds three degrees from the University of Michigan: MBA, Master and Bachelor Degrees in Electrical Engineering. He graduated manga cum laude and was active in several honor societies, e.g., Beta Gamma Sigma, Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi, Golden Key, and Phi Kappa Phi. He is also a CPA, a CFA, a PMP, and a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
