Melissa Clark
Primera Engineers, Ltd.
Melissa Clark is responsible for the overall financial well-being of Chicago-based engineering design and consulting firm, Primera Engineers. As the firm’s Controller, she leads all aspects of the corporate accounting and finance functions with a primary focus on strategic planning, budgeting, financial analysis, process improvement, and cash management. As a team leader, she also mentors the group responsible for the day-to-day accounting and finance efforts including invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Melissa’s expertise is the result of more than 20 years in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry and nearly 15 years as a Controller. Prior to Primera, she served as Controller for two Milwaukee-based architecture firms. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting Management and a Master of Business Administration from Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
An advocate in the community, Melissa serves as Treasurer of the Primera Foundation, sits on the Board of Directors for Green City Market, and is an active member of Chicago United.
